Heat ownership wasn't happy with center Alonzo Mourning's comments at a dinner Saturday night, during which Mourning said he doesn't owe the franchise anything.
One part-owner of the team who didn't want his name used said he's not upset at Mourning for going to New Jersey in pursuit of a title.
"He can do what he wants," the part-owner said, "but I don't like what he said."
The part-owner went on to say Mourning should have opted to stay and help rebuild.
"He should have stayed for the minimum," he said, "and we would have added two good players and he would have had just as much of a chance of going to the Finals as New Jersey."
The part-owner said he doesn't plan to speak with Mourning.
"I wish him luck and that's it," the owner said. "We'll be OK."
