LOS ANGELES (AP) Kobe Bryant scored 27 points, Shaquille O'Neal had 14 points and six rebounds in only 24 minutes and Los Angeles led all the way in beating Miami.
The win was the third in a row for the Lakers (8-2) and their 20th straight regular-season victory at home. The Heat (2-8) had won two straight.
It was also the 784th regular-season victory for Lakers coach Phil Jackson, moving him into a tie for 11th on the NBA's career list with Gene Shue.
Bryant got the bulk of his points from the foul line, going 15-of-16. The Lakers made 33 of 46 free throws.
Gary Payton had 13 points and eight assists, and Karl Malone added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers despite sitting out the fourth quarter.
Lamar Odom led Miami with 18 points and nine rebounds.
