SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Allan Houston missed his third straight game Wednesday when the New York Knicks visited the Utah Jazz.

Houston warmed up before the game but did not dress because of a sore right knee.

``I can probably do some things, but I want to make sure that I'm really, really ready instead of just ready,'' Houston said.

Houston, who leads New York in scoring with 19.6 points per game, also missed games Tuesday at the Los Angeles Lakers and Saturday at Golden State. Wednesday was the fifth game he missed this season.

Houston hoped to be back Saturday for the Knicks' home game against Denver.

``If it keeps doing like it's doing now I'll be all right by then,'' he said.
