AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) Larry Brown wasn't around for the end of his 900th career NBA coaching victory after being mistakenly ejected in the third quarter.

Detroit set an NBA single-season record by holding their 34th straight opponent under 100 points, breaking the record of 33 set by the Knicks in 2000-01.

Golden State trailed by 14 points with less than five minutes to play, but Jason Richardson had eight points in a 15-0 run that put the Warriors up 91-90 with 1:28 to play.

Darvin Ham's three-point play gave the Pistons a 95-93 lead. After Nick Van Exel missed at the other end, Chauncey Billups was fouled on a drive to the basket. The call was originally called a charge before being reversed, and Billups made it a four-point game with the free throws.

The Bulls, who were just 1-of-16 on 3-pointers, were led by 16 points from Jamal Crawford.

James hit a pair of 3-pointers, two other jumpers and two free throws to score 12 straight Celtics points and put Boston up 75-69 with just over four minutes left. Pierce then made two free throws, a jumper and an impressive dunk after a crossover and the Celtics had an 11-point lead.

Pacers 91, Hornets 84

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) In a fight-marred matchup of two of the top teams in the Central Division, Jermaine O'Neal had 26 points, 16 rebounds and six blocks to lead Indiana.

The Pacers never trailed in a game filled with hard fouls, tough defense and a shoving match between Indiana's Al Harrington and New Orleans' George Lynch that escalated into a fight, leading to the ejections of Harrington, Lynch and New Orleans center Jamaal Magloire.

Davis led the Hornets with 35 points on 12-for-25 shooting and P.J. Brown added 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Jamaal Tinsley, in another strong game filling in for the injured Kenny Anderson at point guard, had 18 points and nine assists for Indiana.

Rockets 84, Jazz 63

HOUSTON (AP) The Houston Rockets played the best defensive game in their history as Steve Francis had 17 points, Yao Ming added 16, Cuttino Mobley had 13 and Kelvin Cato added 11 points, 15 rebounds and four blocked shots.

DeShawn Stevenson's 11 points led the Jazz, who scored just seven points in the fourth quarter for their lowest point total of the season.

The previous lowest point total for a Rockets opponent was 66 by both the 76ers and Bulls earlier this season.

A 16-2 run by the Rockets gave them their biggest lead of the night, 84-61 with 1:22 remaining. Utah shot only 3-of-20 in the fourth quarter, and its seven points were only two points better than club's low for a quarter set Dec. 1, 1981 against the Lakers.

DALLAS (AP) Dirk Nowitzki equaled a season-high with 31 points and Michael Finley scored 18 of his 24 in the second half.
