CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Bulls released rookie forward Linton Johnson III on Tuesday.

Johnson played in 18 games for the Bulls, averaging 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds a game.

A sprained right ankle landed him on the injured list for 10 games. He was signed in September as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane.
