NEW ORLEANS (AP) Guard Bryce Drew was activated from the injured list by the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday.

Drew, who has averaged less than a point and an assist in 13 games this season, missed the last five games with lower back spasms.

Also, the Hornets did not renew guard Tierre Brown's 10-day contract. Brown, signed by the Hornets on Jan. 26, averaged 2.0 points and 0.7 assists in three games.
