SAN ANTONIO (AP) Guard Matt Carroll was signed Monday by the San Antonio Spurs after playing in the National Basketball Development League.

The 6-6, 212-pound Carroll, who played at Notre Dame, was in training camp with the New York Knicks, then signed with Portland.

He was waived in January and signed with the NBDL's Roanoke Dazzle.
