With the Central Division, Eastern Conference and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs already wrapped up, no one would fault the Indiana Pacers for resting a bit with two games left.
With their first-round playoff opponent -- the Boston Celtics for the second consecutive year -- identified, a day off on Easter would have been understandable for the team with the NBA's best record.
But instead of coasting through practice Sunday at Conseco Fieldhouse, the Pacers wrapped up their preparations for tonight's game at Philadelphia like it was the start of training camp.
"There won't be no resting," sweat-drenched Pacers forward Al Harrington said after he and his teammates finished practice with a series of wind sprints. "I know a lot of people might expect us to lay back and kind of cruise into the playoffs since we've been playing well. But that's not how we're approaching this thing. Not this time around.
"We've got a mentality that we have to keep our momentum going. There's a lot to nitpick still going on, things we know we can do better. So this is all in an effort to make us better."
After faltering down the stretch last season the Pacers next goal is to win their 60th game of the season, a franchise record.
