Phil Jackson is already sending mental notes to the NBA's refs as the Lakers' series with the San Antonio Spurs draws near. Jackson made some comments Monday about the Spurs' defense which he'll be hoping has some influence on how the Lakers-Spurs games will be called.
"You have to hope, in all situations, that your reputations for your defensive stoppers stand up," Jackson said. "That (Tim) Duncan can get away with his blocked shots and they're not fouls; that Bowen can get away with his hand checking and they're not fouls. That's what you have to hope for if you're in that situation."
