With Jason Kidd struggling and Kenyon Martin limited by foul trouble, the New Jersey Nets needed a huge effort from Richard Jefferson to be a chance in Game 3 against the Pistons, and he didn't disappoint.

Jefferson, who shot 1 for 12 in Game 1, was 11 for 19 on Sunday. The Pistons had no answer for Jefferson, who both took the ball to the basket and shot it from the outside.

?All I can say is I was due,? Jefferson said. ?I struggled for a while."

?You just stay confident. It doesn't matter how hot you are if your teammates aren't getting you the ball and they did a great job.?

?He made so many huge momentum shots,? Nets coach Lawrence Frank said. ?Jefferson, being able to play 44 minutes and being able to provide scoring while some of our guys were in foul trouble, was huge.?
