"Do you understand the charges brought upon you?" asked Judge Terry Ruckriegle.

"Yes, sir."

"How do you plead? Not guilty or guilty?" asked Judge Ruckriegle again.

Kobe Bryant bent his 6'6" frame, lowered his head to the microphone and answered: "Not guilty."

"A plea of not guilty will be entered..." continued Judge Ruckriegle.

With that ended Kobe Bryant's arraignment, leaving him with plenty of time to fly back to Los Angeles for Tuesday night's playoff game against San Antonio.
