Rasheed Wallace never guaranteed that he?d be the best player on the court in the Pistons? Game 2 victory.

He just guaranteed that there would be a Game 2 victory and there was.

But it was almost in spite of Wallace?s performance.  His teammates rescued him from a poor performance and won the game just as Wallace had predicted.

Perhaps Wallace should personally thank Tayshaun Prince, who came out of nowhere to turn away Reggie Miller?s shot and preserve the win.

"One of the greatest hustle plays I've ever seen," coach Larry Brown would say after the game.

Certainly not one of the greatest games by Rasheed Wallace, but when the final horn sounded, his guarantee had come true.
