The Timberwolves and free-agent point guard Troy Hudson could come to a contract agreement soon.
The Wolves have offered Hudson, who opted out of the remaining $2.1 million on his deal for next season, an $18 million, five-year deal, with incentives that could make it worth $25 million.
What is significant about the offer is that the incentives, which emphasize playing time, are fairly easy to attain if Hudson performs as expected. If all went well for Hudson, who underwent foot surgery late last season, he could end up earning about $23 million.
The Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors also have expressed interest in Hudson
