Allan Houston admitted yesterday that he's unable to go "all out" without pain & discomfort.

Houston said he wouldn't be ready for intense game action, which may pressure Knick president Isiah Thomas to close the deal for Bulls' restricted free-agent Jamal Crawford.

The Bulls deal has hit a snag because the Knicks do not want to inclue Dikembe Mutombo in the trade.

Houston seems uncertain about his status though he did say he'll be ready for training camp in September.

"My goal is to be going all-out by next month," Houston said. "I think the path I'm going, I think it's realistic. I've done everything in rehab. My goal is to be out if we had started practicing [in August]. I can't predict the future. If I had to guess, I think I'll be ready by September."
