Celtic training camp begins on October 5th and whether or not Gary Payton will be in attendance remains in doubt.  Payton, who is owed $5.4 million this season, would not likely be willing to sacrafice that much money, considering he only has a few years of competative basketball left in him

Aaron Goodwin, Payton's agent, would offer only the following when asked to comment, "We should have a solution in the next week or so."

Payton's reputation took a significant hit last year playing in the triangle system, which did not fit his style of play and has a lot to prove in his walk year.
