The New York Knicks announced today that they have waived forward Shandon Anderson.
Anderson played in just one game this season. He was acquired in a three-team trade from Houston in 2001.
The Knicks now have just 11 active players, with 3 on the disabled list.
The decision to waive Anderson was likely triggered by the very strong play of first-year forward Trevor Ariza. He appears to an early steal of the rookie class.
