Reports out of Orlando state that the Magic will not play guard Cuttino Mobley Monday in Boston after a trade was near completed.

ESPN is now reporting that a deal which would send Mobley and forward Michael Bradley, who also is not playing, to the Sacramento Kings for guard Doug Christie is close to being finalized according to two sources close to the situation.

Magic GM John Weisbrod has been lukewarm on the shoot first style that Mobley processes since trading for him as part of the Steve Francis for Tracy McGrady deal and prefers a defensive presence in the Magic boackcourt, which is something which Christie can provide.

The Kings, however, are looking for more backcourt scoring after losing Bobby Jackson to injury.
