The Heat didn't necessarily need a boost with the way they have been playing recently, but they got one anyways when Shaquille O'Neal returned to their line-up in New Jersey.
O'Neal, who missed the previous three games, scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, as the Heat defeated the Nets by a final score of 106-90.
``My knee felt pretty good,'' O'Neal said. ``I was hurting last week and (coach) Stan (Van Gundy) told me to take a couple extra days off, so I did.''
The Heat also debuted their newest former member of the club when Alonzo Mourning entered the game with 2:19 remaining in the 4th quarter.
``Zo knows the deal,'' Van Gundy said. ``He's coming to a team that was 42-and-16. Zo would tell you that he didn't expect us to trash our rotation in one night. We have the third-best record in the league. You're not going to say 'Wow! None of this works.'''
