The San Antonio Spurs have announced that they have placed forward Tim Duncan on the injured list with a grade II right ankle sprain. Duncan, who is expected to miss 2-4 weeks, has appeared in 62 games averaging 20.9 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.68 blocks in 34 minutes per game this season. Under league rules, Duncan can't be activated for at least 5 games.

At the same time the Spurs activated forward/center Sean Marks. Marks, who has appeared in seven contests, is averaging 3.0 points and 1.0 rebounds in 7.7 minutes.
