Richard Jefferson has missed the last four months of play, but he is expected to practice on Friday. After the practice, Nets' head coach Lawrenece Frank will evaluate whether he will be able to play in Game 1 versus the Miami Heat.
"Richard can certainly help us," Frank said. "There's no question about that. But I just don't know how much. I don't think he knows how much. It would be unfair to place expectations on him. I know he's the kind of guy that would do anything to help the team, but it's kind of hard for me to tell what he can do. We're going to feel it out and see what happens."
Before he was injured, Jefferson was averaging 22.2 points per game in 33 games.
