Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan announced on Thursday that he will return for another season, despite enduring his most disappointing campaign in 17 years guiding the team.

Sloan, the longest tenured head coach for any team in all four major sports, said after the Jazz wrapped up their 26-56 season he would return home to his farm in Illinois and think about his future.

"This is where I want to be ... and I'm very grateful to them for wanting somebody back after losing as many games as we did," he said at a news conference.
