The Dallas Morning News is reporting that second round high school draftpick C.J. Miles is hoping for a two year guaranteed contract from the Utah Jazz before he decides where his future lies.  Any offer from the Jazz could determine whether Miles heads to the NBA or to Texas.

Miles' father, Calvin Sr., said Friday evening that the family expected to hear from the Jazz imminently.

The Jazz selected C.J. Miles with the fourth pick in the second round ? 34th overall ? in Tuesday night's NBA draft. First-round picks are paid according to a pay scale and receive guaranteed contracts. Teams can offer second-round picks a guaranteed contract if they choose. Second-round picks usually receive close to the NBA minimum of about $400,000.

Miles still has the choice to play for Texas because he hasn't signed with an agent. Utah will hold Miles' rights through a year after he completes his college eligibility.

Miles Sr. said Jazz vice president Kevin O'Connor told the family, "We drafted him to play for the Utah Jazz, and that's what we want him to do."
