The Chicago Bulls announced today the signing of rookie free agent Eddie Basden. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

After going undrafted in NBA Draft 2005, the 6-5, 215-pound guard joined the Bulls for the 2005 Reebok Vegas Summer League and posted team-leading averages of 14.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.60 spg and 29.0 mpg. He appeared in all five of the team?s games, including four starts, and shot .442 from the floor and .700 from the free throw line.

Basden spent the 2004-05 season as a senior at Charlotte and averaged collegiate career highs of 15.2 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 3.7 apg and 3.21 spg in 29 games, before being selected the Conference USA Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year (also selected as a junior).
