Eddy Curry looked good in the first half yesterday, putting up 12 points. But then his left calf started aching and he sat out the entire second half.

"I have been trying to play through it, but it hurt a little bit," Curry said after the Knicks' 103-92 triumph over the Blazers. "I just have to take care of it so it is not a nagging injury."

Curry said he is hopeful he will be ready to play in Charlotte on Wednesday. Coach Larry Brown said the Knicks should know more today.

"I don't know what is happening there," Brown said.
