Kings forward Peja Stojakovic missed his second straight game Sunday night with a protruding disc in his lower back, another potentially serious injury for the three-time All-Star.

Stojakovic has missed eight games with three different injuries this season, including the back problem that kept him out of Friday's loss to the Hornets. His back has been troublesome all season, preventing him from jumping, shooting and playing defense with his usual effectiveness.

Stojakovic, who's in the final year of his contract with the Kings, is averaging 16.6 points per game, his lowest average since his second NBA season in 1999-00.
