Co-GM Otis Smith has received the endorsement of head coach Brian Hill to take over sole ownership of the Magic's general manager position, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.

Dave Twardzik, Smith's other GM half, has indicated he is not interested in the position.

"I'd be surprised if it's somebody from outside the organization right now," Hill said. "I think we have as great a working relationship regardless of the titles. I couldn't ask for a better situation as a coach."
