While the New Jersey Nets have the third seed in the East sewn up, high flyer Vince Carter is closing in on a Nets record.

Vince Carter is just 28 points away from breaking Bernard King's single-season scoring franchise record (1,909 points), set during the 1977-78 season.

Not that Carter is particularly interested in it, say the New York Post.

"I didn't know anything about it," Carter said following the team's light practice yesterday.
