The Utah Jazz signed center Jarron Collins on Thursday.

The club had announced last week that agreement had been reached.

The Salt Lake Tribune said it had learned that Collins, an unrestricted free agent, signed a three-year contract worth just over $7 million. He earned $1.7 million last season, it said.

Kevin O'Connor, vice president of basketball operations, called Collins "a true competitor who is passionate about basketball. He's a professional, on and off the court."
