Philadelphia 76ers forward Rodney Carney underwent an MRI which revealed a tear of the rotator cuff and labrum in his right shoulder.

He was then examined by shoulder specialist Dr. Gerry Williams who reviewed the MRI and believes the injury will not require surgery.  

Carney will begin rehab on his right shoulder immediately and be listed as day-to-day.
