Jamal Crawford odds of returning for the playoffs - if the Knicks make it - increased on Friday after he underwent successful surgery on his ankle.

"He'll be back for the second round," Isiah Thomas said to laughter.

Crawford will be on crutches for a week, a Knicks spokesman said, with rehab starting in 10 days.

"As expected, he will miss the regular season, with the playoffs still being a possibility," Thomas said.
