Ira Newble has until the end of the week to decide whether to terminate the final year of his contract. Newble said Sunday that he has come to a decision and he will not exercise the clause, which will mean he'll make $3.4 million next year in the last of a five-year, $15 million deal that he signed in 2003. It will be the most he has made for a season in his career.

``I haven't gotten much playing time and other teams haven't gotten a chance to see me,'' Newble said. ``I'm not going to give back any money.''
