Isiah Thomas has told confidants that guards Dan Dickau and Fred Jones, acquired from Portland along with Zach Randolph in exchange for Channing Frye and Steve Francis, have not been ruled out for the final 15-man roster, the New York Post is reporting.
They will attend Monday's press conference with Randolph and draftees Wilson Chandler of DePaul and Syracuse second-rounder Demetris Nichols, whom the Knicks obtained in a midnight trade with the Blazers.
Thomas encouraged Pacers GM Donnie Walsh to draft Jones in 2002 with the 14th pick. Thomas will still shop Jones' and Dickau's expiring contracts, totaling nearly $6 million, all summer.
