Knicks' point guard Stephon Marbury is expected to miss another game tonight as he continues to regroup emotionally following the death of his father.
Donald Marbury Sr. died on Dec. 2 after leaving Madison Square Garden at halftime with chest pains. Funeral services were held last Thursday.
Stephon Marbury rejoined the Knicks later that night and played Friday in Philadelphia. He also played against the Sixers at MSG on Saturday, but told Knicks' Coach Isiah Thomas afterward he needed a break. The veteran point guard has not practiced or played with the Knicks since.
Thomas was asked whether he was concerned Marbury might not be the same emotionally when he does come back.
"It's definitely been a life-changing moment for him, and we'll just have to wait and see when he comes back," Thomas said. "It's definitely been a life-changing moment."
