Yao Ming added 21 points and 9 boards, and Rafer Alston posted 16 points and 11 assists for the Rockets, who shot 53% from the field and outrebounded the Heat by eight. As usual, Dwyane Wade led Miami with 33 points and 11 assists while Shawn Marion added 18 points and 10 rebounds in defeat. The victory was Houston?s tenth straight while the loss was Miami?s tenth consecutive.

Manu Ginobili hit a jump shot with a few seconds left against the Minnesota Timberwolves to give the San Antonio Spurs a dramatic one-point win on Thursday night. Ginobili finished the game with 44 points, and Tim Duncan added 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Spurs, who outrebounded the Wolves by seven. Al Jefferson notched 28 points and 5 boards, and Rashad McCants added 15 points off the bench for Minnesota, who shot 50% on the night.

The Portland Trail Blazers ended their five-game skid with a win over the traded-depleted Seattle Supersonics on Thursday night. Brandon Roy led the Blazers with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists, and LaMarcus Aldridge added 18 points and 12 boards of his own in the win. Both teams shot just 38% from the floor, but the Blazers had the edge in both second-chance points and scores off turnovers. Kevin Durant scored 20 points, and Nick Collison added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Sonics, who have just five wins since the New Year.
