The Celtics will be without backup center Scot Pollard for the remainder of the season due to a torn tendon in his left ankle, according to a report in the Boston Globe and Yahoo.com on Wednesday.

Pollard, who has played in just two of the Celtics? last 25 games, has had a lingering ankle injury since October that has yet to heal, according to the report.

Pollard told the Globe that the original injury revealed a slight tear which became worse as shown on an MRI on Wednesday.

?The season is over for me; it?s frustrating,? Pollard said to the newspaper.
