Dwyane Wade will be able to opt out of his contract in 2010, but he doesn't have any plans to leave South Beach, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
"I came here when it was down, and I helped it get up to this point," Wade said. "Why would I want to leave and let someone else come in and get the glory for taking Miami back?"
Wade was asked about the speculation that he would bolt with the chance to opt out of his current contract.
"Just because we're having a down year doesn't mean I'm ready to jump to another city," he said. "That's not the case. I love Miami. This perception of me ready to leave right now because other players are getting mad in their situation is totally false."
