Tyrus Thomas apologized to his teammates for skipping a practice, an action which cost him a two game suspension from the Bulls, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

Thomas would not reveal the reasons for missing the practice but did say it was for personal reasons which he thought was appropriate and that the team disagreed.  Thomas also addressed the rumor that skipping practice was related to his recent demotion from the starting lineup and reduced playing time, but Thomas dismissed the claim.

"I don't think that's a personal reason," Thomas said. "That's not the case. That wasn't the reason I missed practice."

Thomas usually arrives early to practice, which set off alarm bells when he did not arrive.
