Nets' President Rod Thorn will not get drawn into any public debates with former guard Jason Kidd, the New York Daily News is reporting.  When told of comments Kidd made about his end with New Jersey, Thorn said that anything relating to Jason Kidd is now irrelevant since he is a Dallas Maverick.

"That's his opinion. I have no comment," said Thorn. "It has to be that way because he's no longer here at the present time. All of that is irrelevant."

"I didn't quit on the team," said Kidd. "The ride was over. At the end of the day, I gave everything that I could give to the Nets. There were no more rabbits that I could pull out of the hat. There were no more rabbits that Rod could pull out of a hat. That is as far as they could go. I took them as high as I could."
