Celtics' guard Ray Allen has denied that there is any ill will between him and Lakers' star Kobe Bryant, according to The Boston Herald.
Four years ago, when Allen was playing in Seattle and after the Lakers had traded Shaquille O'Neal to Miami, he said, ?If Kobe doesn?t see he needs 2 good players to be a legitimate playoff contender or win a championship in about a year or two, he?ll be calling out to (Lakers' owner) Jerry Buss that, ?We need some help in here,? or, ?Trade me.? And we?ll all be saying, ?I told you so,? when he says that.?
Bryant fired back, as well, insulting Allen's play.
However, the two appear to have matured, and neither wants to discuss the former feud as they gear up for the NBA Finals.
"You (media) make it more than what it is, but we?re in 2008," Allen said. "So it?s a non-issue now. You can talk about it, but now you?re making a big deal about it because you?re asking."
"We?re in a different part of our careers and our lives right now. I have to take care of what?s going on with my Celtics' team, and that?s all I concern myself with," Allen added.
