Center Roy Hibbert finally feels ready for the NBA nearly thirteen months after he was projected as a lottery pick, according to The Indianapolis Star.

"Sometimes people like to tell me I would have gone higher last year, but I don't think I was mentally or physically ready to go last year," Hibbert said Thursday. "Obviously my stock was a lot higher last year after that Ohio State game. I feel like this year I'm more ready for the endeavors and the rigors of the NBA season."

Hibbert outscored last year's number one overall pick, Greg Oden, 19-13 in the 2007 national semifinals.

The Georgetown star worked out for the Pacers on Thursday.
