The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has signed center Kosta Koufos, the Jazz?s first-round selection (23rd pick overall) in the 2008 NBA Draft. Per team policy, terms of the offers were not released.
The 7-0, 265-pound center played one season at Ohio State University, averaging 14.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.81 blocks in 37 games (35 starts) while leading the Buckeyes to the 2008 Postseason NIT title.
There had been some talk along the way that Koufos could end up initially playing in Europe.
