All-Star Carlos Boozer will miss the Jazz' first preseason game against the L.A. Lakers due to hamstring soreness, Tim Buckley of the Deseret News is reporting.

Boozer suggested the injury is not serious and sitting out is purely a precautionary decision.  It is the same injury which kept him to only 33 games in 2005-2006.

"Just a little sore," Boozer said at the team's shootaround this morning at the Honda Center. "So I'd rather be safe than sorry."

"I'll be alright."
