Celtics' forward Paul Pierce isn't sure if he'll be able to play on Monday night in the back end of a home-and-home series with the Raptors.

Teammate Brian Scalabrine rolled into Pierce's knee a few minutes into Sunday's 94-88 win. The injury originated Dec. 15, when Utah's Mehmet Okur caught Pierce in similar fashion.

Pierce ended up playing 41 minutes against the Raptors in Toronto.

"We're still going to get it checked because he clearly was moving right . . . until he had to take a shot," Coach Doc Rivers said of a fourth-quarter jumper that kept Boston above water. "It's amazing how offensive players when they get the ball, they get healthy. But we're a little concerned about that because we didn't think he moved well at all the rest of the game.

"I was scared to take him out of the game because I thought if I took him out in the second half we probably wouldn't have been able to put him back in."

Pierce is hoping for the best.

"Scal fell into it - the knee that's been sore for the last few weeks, the same one I hyperextended," Pierce said. "It's just a little sore. I aggravated it a little bit, but I was getting treatment after the game, and I'll see how it feels (today). Hopefully, it'll get better overnight.

"I was a little ginger on it for most of the game after I got the hit, but I just wanted to be out there to help my team."
