Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu can opt out of his contract at the end of the season, but GM Otis Smith believes that he'll re-sign with the club.

"I would assume," Smith said, then added, "I don't know. ... That's something Hedo has to look at."

Turkoglu has one year and $7 million left on his current contract.

"We will have a conversation leading up to the [trade] deadline," Smith said of his desire to speak with Turkoglu's agent by the Feb. 19 trade deadline.
