Eddy Curry has told the New York Post that he plans on returning to practice after the All-Star break, and the only thing which is keeping him off the court is his injured knee.

Curry declined to discuss the bloody Chicago murders in which the mother of two of his kids was murdered. A 1-year-old daughter was also killed and, reportedly, she is Curry's child. His 3-year-old son witnessed the killings.

Curry said basketball is now an escape.

"This is the time I'm really looking forward to it," Curry said at the Knicks' shootaround in San Francisco before the club faced Golden State. "I wish I could just take a magic pill and make my legs better and make me go out and do what I need to do. I'm enjoying all my time around these guys and organization because it's like a safe house for me."
