Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni did not play rookie forward Danilo Gallinari on Sunday night against the Raptors, instead playing the team's newly-acquired players.
Larry Hughes and Chris Wilcox appear to be ahead of Gallinari in the team's rotation.
Gallinari had played 15 straight games since his return from a back injury before Sunday's contest.
"I think he can help us, but there is a process to go through. I'm Italian, he's Italian," D'Antoni said. "I can't just throw him in there. He has to pay his dues."
