Troy Murphy returned from a calf injury in Indiana's 107-105 win over Chicago on Tuesday night, but the team lost center Jeff Foster.
The Pacers don't know how long Foster will be out with a stress reaction in his left foot.
"We're hoping to have (Foster) for the weekend, but we don't know," coach Jim O'Brien said. "It depends on how his foot progresses over the next couple of days. I do not anticipate having him in practice either of the next two days. Hopefully he's healthy enough to go against San Antonio."
Foster actually dealt with a similar injury a few seasons ago.
"He had a stress reaction in his foot," O'Brien said. "I guess the stress reaction is something you get right before you get a stress fracture in your foot. It's showing the same signs. It's not a stress reaction, but if he continues to play through the pain, it could quickly become that, then he would be done for the duration."
