Mavericks forward Josh Howard says that he'll play through an ankle injury in Saturday's Game 3 against the Nuggets.

Howard is suffering through injuries in both of his ankles, with the right one plaguing him recently. In addition, he will need surgery on the left ankle after the season.

While Howard has made it known that he wants to play, but Dallas is going to be a little more cautious.

"I know he's going to give us what he can," coach Rick Carlisle said. "That's good enough for me. I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it or situations where he's unavailable. We've had other guys that have been able to step forward."
