For the second-straight game, Rockets forward Ron Artest watched his team lose to the Lakers from the comforts of the locker room.

He was ejected after fouling Pau Gasol with just 43.6 seconds left in the Lakers' 108-94 win over the Rockets on Friday night.

Now, Artest will have to wait and see if the flagrant-2 foul will lead to a suspension for Sunday's Game 4.

"It wasn't frustration," said Artest. "I told the (game officials) it was a good call, but I didn't think they were going to call it a flagrant foul."

Regardless of what Artest said, Gasol disagreed slightly.

"I had a clear path to the rim and I attacked the basket and someone knocked me down," Gasol said. "He got my head and it was a dangerous play at the end of the game, but things happen like that."

Artest said after the game that the referees explained the call to him, and that the severity of the foul was in question.

"Some refs would just tell you to leave the game," Artest said. "They were thinking about making it a flagrant-1, but felt awkwardly about changing it so made it a 2.

"Hopefully they rescind it or make it a 1."
