Kevin Garnett will have surgery on his injured right knee sometime next week, according to a report from Frank Dellapa of the Boston Globe who spoke with Danny Ainge.

Garnett sat out 24 regular season games, plus all 14 playoff games.

Surgery was delayed in case Garnett felt well enough to play during the playoffs.
